A first step towards the successful management of your infrastructure assets is to know your structures, identify and record various data and attributes about them like location, description, geometry, material, construction data, coding numbers and arrange all relevant and available documents, pictures and drawings related to those structures so you may have a complete database system.
ASSESS THEIR CONDITION
Throughout the lifecycle of any asset, various structural/non-structural components and elements undergo different stages based on surrounding environmental and physical usage.
